اسے کوئی ختم نہیں کر سکتا
مرنے لگے ہیں آج ہم پہ وہ لوگ جو
دشمنوں میں ہمارا نام لیا کرتے تھے
درد لفظوں میں کہاں سمٹتے ہیں
شاعری عارضی سامر ہم ہے
زندگی بھر کوئی ساتھ نہیں دیتا یہ جان لیا ہے میں نے
لوگ تب یاد کرتے ہیں جب وہ اکیلے ہوتے ہیں
یوں نہ کر برباد مجھے باز آجا میرا دل دکھانے سے
میں تو انسان ہوں پتھر بھی ٹوٹ جاتا ہے آزمانے سے
یقیں رکھتا نہیں ہوں میں کسی کچے تعلق سے
جو دھاگہ ٹوٹنے والا ہو اس کو توڑ دیتا ہوں
تیرے سلوک سے کوئی شکایت نہیں خدا کی قسم
میرے خلوص میں ہی شاید کوئی کمی ہوگی
شہزادی کی جھلک سے تو یہی لگتا ہے
اس ریاست میں نہیں ہوگا خزانہ کوئی اور
